The much-anticipated 2024 Telkom Radio Awards finalists have been unveiled, showcasing nominees in major categories such as Station of the Year, MyStation Most Votes, Most Loyal Listeners, Hall of Fame, Bright Star, and the Station Manager’s Choice award.
This year’s ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Sandton, Johannesburg, where a total of 85 awards will be presented to honor excellence in the radio industry.
Celebrating a Century of South African Radio
As the 14th edition of the Telkom Radio Awards, this year’s event coincides with a historic milestone: 100 years of radio broadcasting in South Africa. The awards recognize outstanding contributions across various categories, including Campus, Community, Public Broadcasting (PBS), Commercial, Podcast, and Internet Radio sectors.

The judging process involved a panel of over 50 esteemed experts, with BDO South Africa acting as the official auditors to ensure fairness and transparency. Eligible entries for the awards were required to have aired on FM or AM between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2024, excluding the Internet Radio category.
